Be real and relevant
Use your own identity, accurately represent your work, and communicate with context. Keep outreach relevant and respect a no.
- Do not impersonate a person, organisation, or startup, or claim an affiliation you do not have.
- No spam, scraping, bulk outreach, scams, or deceptive offers.
- Respect confidentiality and intellectual property in conversations.
Zero tolerance
Vizdea has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Never post, upload, send, or link to any of the following, anywhere on Vizdea, including direct messages:
- Child sexual abuse or exploitation material, or anything that sexualises a minor. See our child safety standards at vizdea.com/child-safety.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, stalking, or sharing someone’s private information without consent.
- Hate speech, or attacks on people for their race, ethnicity, caste, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
- Sexually explicit material or nudity.
- Graphic violence, terrorism or violent extremism, or content that encourages self-harm or suicide.
- Illegal goods, services, or activity, malware, and phishing.
Report and protect
Use Report on any post, comment, image, or profile that breaks these guidelines, and block or mute anyone you do not want to hear from. Every report goes to the Vizdea moderation team, and we aim to act on reports within 24 hours.
- Block or mute unwanted contact.
- Report impersonation, harassment, spam, or safety concerns.
- For a security vulnerability, use the security contact instead of public channels.
What happens when rules are broken
We remove content that breaks these guidelines and eject the users responsible. Depending on what happened, we restrict an account so it can no longer post, comment, or message, or we suspend or permanently close it. Child sexual abuse material and credible threats lead to immediate account removal and a report to the authorities where the law requires it. The person who reported is told the outcome, and a restricted member can appeal at vizdea.com/appeal.
